Rocky Resort is a private and secluded bungalows samui resort with 30 samui bungalows and villas. The resort is situated on the beach, with unparalleled views of the Gulf of Thailand, and only a short walk to downtown Lamai. Long tailed fishing boats can be seen daily as they depart or return home with their catch. Here is the ideal place to relax and feel free to enjoy the natural beauty of this amazing bungalows, samui resort.

At Rocky Resort we have 2 swimming pools, one along the beachfront, one in the upper garden. Both have a large deck area where you can sit and relax, order a poolside snack or cocktail. Our restaurant is perched atop a large granite rock, overlooking the ocean. Dinner is eaten with the sound and sight of the waves rolling on to the beach.

The bright lights, bars and night life of Lamai Beach are less than five minutes drive away, and popular Chaweng Beach with it's colourful array of shops, bars and restaurants, is a 15 minute drive.

Rocky Resort has three secluded beaches enclosed by large outcrops of granite rocks which form idyllic sheltered coves. The seawater is crystal clear with beautiful corals and tropical fish ideal for snorkelling.

Unlike other Koh Samui bungalows resort, all our bungalows and villas are well spaced to offer a degree of privacy not available elsewhere. All our rooms have been recently refurbished and decorated. Our facilities are constantly maintained and we keep a high standard of cleanliness consistent with good hotels in Europe.

The Rocky Resort beachfront samui bungalows run along the shoreline and each bungalow is approximately 5 metres from the sea. The ocean view bungalows are elevated to provide a magnificent view of the gulf of Siam and are approximately 25 metres from the beach. Our samui bungalows are among the best bungalows samui has to offer. Our Thai Villas are set even higher above, amidst palm trees and exotic planting, to give truly spectacular views.

The Deluxe Garden view is a beautifully decorated, and recently renovated room overlooking our lush tropical gardens. They are perfect for couples travelling on their own. The rooms come with a queen sized bed, air-conditioning, a ceiling fan, hot showers, minibar, balcony, and spacious bathroom.

LARGE JR. SUITE OCEANVIEW

The Large Jr. Suite Ocean view is a spacious room set high on a hill with a fantastic view of the ocean from the balcony. They are perfect for families, or for couples. The room comes equipped with air conditioning, a ceiling fan, mini bar, hot showers, and a spacious balcony.

DELUXE FAMILY OCEAN VIEW

Our Deluxe Family Oceanview is the perfect room for a family or two couples traveling together. The room consists of two bedrooms with an adjoining door, and two bathrooms.

The room comes equipped with a fully stocked mini bar, air conditioning, ceiling fans, king sized bed in one bedroom, a queen sized bed and a twin in the second bedroom.

The room size is approximately 86 sqm.
 

JR. SUITE BEACH FRONT BUNGALOW

Our Jr. Suite Beachfront rooms are situated directly on the waterfront, only meters away from the ocean. They are beautifully appointed rooms, decorated with the highest quality furnishings from Chiang Mai, and elegant works of art. They come equipped with a mini bar, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, hot showers, a king-sized bed, a day bed, a cd player, and a spacious bathroom.

FAMILY BEACH FRONT BUNGALOW

Our Family Beachfront is a beautiful beachfront room designed with families in mind. The jr suite comes with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and is equipped with a fully stocked mini bar, air conditioning, ceiling fans, cd player, spacious bathroom and living area, and luxurious furnishings. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, and the second bedroom has a queen sized and a twin sized bed.

DELUXE BEACH FRONT SUITE

Our Deluxe Beachfront Suite is our most luxurious room. It is situated directly on the pinnacle between two of our four private beaches, and has gorgeous views of the ocean from its spacious balcony.

The room comes equipped with a fully stocked minibar, air conditioning, ceiling fans, television with dvd player, cd player, spacious bathroom and living area, a king sized bed, and luxurious furnishings. This is the perfect room for a couple or family looking for a bit of luxury on their holiday.

WEDDING AT ROCKY RESORT

BUDDHIST WEDDING

In the Buddhist wedding, three to five Buddhist monks will be invited for the ceremony. The ceremony begins with prayer. First, the monks chant and then bless the bride and groom by linking their heads with joined loops of Sai Mongkon. Its meaning is that individual identity of the two people but destinies are linked. The head monk pours blessed water over the hands of the bride and the groom; the water is collected in a bowl of ornamentally arranged flowers. The guests of the bride and the groom also bless the couple on the water blessing alter. The happy couple then present a food offering to the monks (provided by the resort) . This ceremony normally takes place around 10am and must end before 12 noon as Buddhist monks are not allowed to eat anything after that time. Also, at this time a donation of money is given to the monks for their temple as a way of showing acknowledgement and giving thanks.

TRADITIONAL WEDDING

The day begins with breakfast, followed by a consultation with the celebrant to go over any details of the ceremony. The bride will be given the use of a room to prepare, and the groom will be given a separate room. At the appropriate time our staff, dressed in traditional Thai outfits, will lead the groom and his party to our Sala, where the wedding will be performed by an experienced Pastor. The groom will be followed by the bride later on and the ceremony will begin and vows will be exchanged.

LEGALITY INFORMATION

Arranging legally recognized marriages in Thailand can be very complicated. Typically, you have to spend three to five days in Bangkok dealing with a variety of government offices before you can get your marriage certificate.

BUSINESS CONFERENCE IN KOH SAMUI

Rocky Resort is equipped with a gorgeous conference facility with seating for up to 80 people and all the latest equipment. Our air conditioned conference room is like none you have ever seen, fully decorated with beautiful artwork and furnishings from Chiang Mai. The spacious balcony has a tremendous view of the ocean and the neighboring islands. The room is equipped with all the latest facilities including wired and wireless internet, screen and digital projector, PA system with wireless mics, and TV and DVD Player.

At Rocky's Restaurant in Koh Samui we pride ourselves on quality. We believe that while you're on holiday, you deserve to have the best of everything. For this reason we have spent many hours working in the kitchen, perfecting our homemade pizzas, fine meats, fresh seafood, and tasty Thai dishes.

We have several events at Rocky's Restaurant including beach barbecues, cocktail evenings, and Thai celebrations and we have the capability of arranging romantic private dinners in our sala and custom menus.
